F.A.Q.
Q: A camera’s a camera, right? Is there really a difference between all those different models?
A: There most certainly is a difference. Cameras range from simple point and click models to high-end models with advanced, intuitive controls.
Q: Is a lower or number better when a camera’s features refer to pixels?
A: Typically, for most people’s needs, a higher pixel count is better. This usually grants crisper images if you need to print and enlarge your photos.
Q: What would I need a wide angle camera for?
A: Wide angle cameras approach panoramic capabilities and allow for more subject matter to be on each side of the frame.
Q: Slimmer means less functions and lower quality, right?
A: Not at all. Cutting edge technology allows even ultra compact and slim cameras to pack in high-end features and incredible resolution capabilities.
Q: What difference does shutter speed make, should I care?
A: It all depends on what you normally take pictures of. Different shutter speeds allow varying degrees of light to reach the camera’s sensor. A camera with flexible shutter speeds will allow you to take pictures in a wider range of settings and environments.
